About Cleo DeCoppel

Cleo DeCoppel became a licensed real estate agent a mere six years ago, but living in Port Elgin for 35 years has given her an in-depth knowledge of the area and everything it has to offer to its year round and summer residents. Her love of this area is reflected in her enthusiasm for her job.

Cleo loves her job; the people she meets through her work is the aspect she most enjoys. One of the best parts of her job is helping people realize their real estate wants and needs. She has a special fondness for first time homebuyers, because of the excitement these clients bring to their first home purchase. Over the last six years, Cleo has especially enjoyed all the nice people she has met. Cleo likes all aspects of her job—listing, selling and everything that goes with it!

To Cleo, her clients are #1. She strives to give her clients more service than they expect, and, more importantly, the service they, as the buying and selling public, rightly deserve. She takes pride in her honesty with her clients—she has told clients if she feels a property is not 'for them' and stated her reasons why. She does understand, of course, it is up to the client to make the final decision.

From the start of the business relationship, Cleo explains to her clients the different processes required in order to secure the sale, whether from the buying or selling end.

Cleo, a mother of two, has been married for 16 years. Her family supports her 100% in her real estate ventures, and accepts Cleo's "stopping at the office"as a normal part of the family routine. They put up with her odd hours, her evening and weekend work, and the many hours Cleo spends on the phone with clients.

Cleo left Port Elgin to attend Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, and then lived in Calgary, Alberta, for two years. She always returned to "Port", however, because Cleo believes Port Elgin is the absolutely best place to raise a family! She owned and operated her own clothing store for about 7 years. She sold the store when her second child was born, and stayed at home with her children until they started school.
